I'm kind of an expert on quiting smoking since I've been quiting for ten years. lol The only thing I've probably spent more time at than trying to quit smoking is... smoking! I figured a few years ago that I had smoked over a hunder thousand cigarettes in my life time. That's enormous! I mean think about it. I could be considered an expert in court on how to smoke cigarettes. What I finally decided was I have had enough. What good is one more cigarette going to do me? Exspecially now that they're over $5 a pack!!! That's rediculous. Even now that I've only been quit like two weeks I've already saved more than $50!!! I'm taking that money and as long as I stay quit I'm going to have a deep tissue massage every month or something to the effect. Treat myself.

So here's how I'm quitting. I quit cold turkey once before and while it's no fun it is one of the best ways in my opinion. Why? I think that just going through 72 hours of physical withdraw is a good lesson as to why you don't want to have to do it again. I wasn't able to do it again so I used Chantix. This works great as long as you WANT to quit. Otherwise you'll just keep smoking like I did the first month and a half. I'm also snacking on banana's and apples during the day to curb my appitite, chewing gum and toothpicks. Most importantly when I really want to smoke I just take a deep breath and try to relax for a minute. It really helps.
