Are you a Warrior?

If so, why? What do you do that makes you a warrior?

You didn't really answer the question I wanted. What makes a person a Warrior?

I am a Warrior, I have been a warrior since I was about 15'ish. I have always tried to be as fair as possible in my dealings with people, to keep myself moderately in shape, to promote the idea of being a warrior to other people without necessarily using the term warrior even though in truth we (the people I work for and with) are truly warriors and are expected to be. I learned early on that being untruthful, deceitful, lazy and or otherwise being un-true, like a bent board or a rusted through machine was not the way to be successful in life. By success i don't mean in a monetary sense, but a personal sense. Oh I have faltered a few times over the years but I have learned from those mistakes and improved my life immensely. I do a great many things listed on the 71 things to do and admittedly I will endeavor to do them all since I have seen them in a list that i agree with (nice list by the way) I am 42 years old now and I've just retired from the USAF after 23 years. I intend to keep my true warrior ways, they have served my family and myself very well. Peace!

This thread goes well with the thread 'What's it mean to be a Warrior to you?' Several people have posted on there and it is surely worth the read, especially Dylz's comment.

I am a warrior by birth and do things that are far more diverse than many, to some an achievement and to some madness.

I like to think that I am a Warrior, but I cannot say for sure that my opinion of myself is unbiased. Actually, it is most likely biased.

Hello all. This is my first post here and I'm a warrior because I work hard, train hard and try strive everyday to make myself a better person than the day before. I haven't always been a warrior. I first became a warrior around six years ago when I began my training in fighting. I got hardened and fast. I quit a life long smoking addiction and was doing really well. But then I fell back into my old self. I became complacent and lazy. I felt sorry for myself when things didn't go my way and I blamed others for my troubles. I took up smoking again and started benge drinking. I also became bitter and sometimes violent. I quit my part time job of bouncing in a bar because when I had started I was considered a 'good' guy. I was friendly and fair. By the end I was just a drunken asshole. Can I say that here? It's been a year since I quit and I'm doing better again. I slowed way down on the smoking and finally quit altogether two weeks ago. I'm exercising again regularly both with weights and on my bags (boxing) and doing my Yoga to keep my back in line. I've been to the bottom of my barrle and back again and I'm telling you the view is better high up on the mountain top. From now on I'm choosing to be a warrior.
